Getting Started with Creative Commons, Open Educational Resources and Practices Online
This session addresses the growing need for academics to understand and engage with open licensing and sharing in higher education. It will demystify Creative Commons (CC) licenses and inspire you with practical examples of Open Educational Resources (OER) and Practices (OEP), including those emerging from the use of AI in teaching and learning and open textbooks in the South African context. The session will also share some of the benefits and risks of openness, and strategic considerations to guide open licensing and sharing.
