WWIS Academy - Introduction to the basic principles of scientific knowledge production Online
To produce new scientific knowledge adequately, emerging scientists need to focus on two key principles when writing their theses:
1) a scientific discovery process relevant for their chosen discipline and topic area, and
2) legitimisation criteria appropriate for assessing the discovery process.
In this workshop Dr Kirstin Krauss introduces these two core principles of producing, articulating and defending new scientific knowledge. Dr Krauss also introduces further directions for successfully developing theses and proposals.
Who should attend? Postgraduate students and emerging supervisors from any discipline interested in learning how to successfully articulate and defend new scientific knowledge in their theses and proposals.
